Here’s an amazing opportunity for aspiring producers from one of the most respected homes for new writing, Theatre503. There’s even a Q&A to find out more – read on!
The Theatre503 Trainee Assistant Producer Scheme is a unique blend of on-the-job training and learning opportunities, as we support you to develop your skills and lay the foundations for a career in theatre production. You will be supporting the development and delivery of their productions and co-productions, from single nights of short pieces to full length runs over 3 weeks, as well as working across all departments including literary, operations, programming and development/fundraising to gain a full understanding of how a producing theatre operates.
Diversity begins with who is telling the stories and they are particularly keen to hear from individuals from groups who are underrepresented in the theatre sector. This is a year-long traineeship and we appoint two trainees per year. The roles would start in early September and October respectively – so you can shadow the outgoing Trainees on their final productions.
Theatre 503 says:”If you would like an informal conversation about the role before applying please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will arrange a call back. We will also be hosting a Q&A over Zoom with our Producer and outgoing Trainee Assistant Producers at 5pm on Wednesday 27th July, as a chance to hear more about the role and ask any questions to the current team. Please click here to register to join the Zoom Q&A.“
But don’t hang about, applications close at 12noon on Monday August 1st!
