PHANTOM, LES MIS and SAIGON return to SkyArts for Christmas 2021 alongside Mackintosh profile

Sky Arts (channel 11) bring some of the most popular recorded stage shows to your home this Christmas. You can see LES MISERABLES – The Staged Concert on Christmas Eve at 7.30pm, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA at the Royal Albert Hall on 27th December at 4.15pm, and the 25th anniversary production of MISS SAIGON on 27th December at 10.00pm.

Sandwiched between those latter two will be Cameron Mackintosh – The First 50 Years, a profile of the noted producer, on 27 December at 7.00 pm.

Here are the first announced Christmas treats out of the schedulers’ boxes for this festive season. Enjoy!

ANYTHING GOES. The Barbican’s five-star production of Cole Porter’s classic musical comedy from this Autumn (and returning to the Barbican next Summer) screens on BBC2 at 6.40pm on Boxing Day, 26th December. It’s currently unconfirmed whether this will be available on BBCiPlayer.

HALF A SIXPENCE The well-received 2016 West End production of this much-loved musical will screen on Sky Arts Freeview channel (11) on Wednesday 29th December at 6.30pm
