So you can’t go to the theatre? – So let the theatre come to you!

NETFLIX has a number of items thrown up from a “theatre” search. Its worth noting that they have the film version of LES MIS to view. Sondheimers will enjoy watching BEST WORST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED, a documentary about the 1981 premiere of MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG, and what a rollercoaster that was! Also, OH HELLO – ON BROADWAY is a filmed version of the popular Broadway comedy show starring Nick Kroll, John Mulaney and a surprise guest. WHAT ABOUT DICK? , written by Monty Python’s Eric Idle, gathers great comics to tell the story of the rise and fall of the British Empire —as told through a piano. It stars Billy Connolly, Tim Curry and Russell Brand.

YOUTUBE has a raft of offerings in the theatre line. The charming 1981 version of PRESENT LAUGHTER has already been noted in my blog posts, and I will post more of these offerings over the coming days.

Website WhatsOnStage‘s Editor Alex Wood has put together a good list of things to see online, including GHOST QUARTET and THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS. which you can access here

More to come!
